Rowan classic cashsoft aran 2x 50g balls - 87m each (194m in total) 4.5mm needles (short circular and set of DPNs) Tension - shouldn't matter Cast on 96 stitches and join the round Row 1 - P1 (K1P1) 3 times [k2 (k1P1) x 7] 5 times K2 (K1P1) 3 times K1 Repeat row 1 until there are 10 rows Increase row - P1 (K1P1) 3 times [K1 M1 K1 M1 (K1 P1) x 7] 5 times K2 M1 K1 M1 (K1P1) 3 times K1 (108 stitches) Pattern row 1 - P3K1 to end (27 repeats) Pattern row 2 - P1K1 to end (54 repeats) Repeat these two rows until the hat is 18 cm in length Crown decrease rows Row 1- (P1 P2tog K1 P3 K1) repeat to last 4 stitches (13 repeats) P1 P2tog K1 (94 stitches) Row 2 - [P2 (k1 P1) twice K1] repeat to last three stitches P2 K1 Row 3 - [P2 K1 P2 tog P1 K1] repeat to last three stitches P2 K1 (81 stitches) Row 4 - P2K1 to end Row 5 - (P2 tog K1) to end (54 stitches) Row 6 - P1K1 to end Row 7 - K2 tog to end (27 stitches) Row 8 - K1 K2tog to end (18 Stitches) Row 9 - K2 tog to end (9 stitches) Pull yarn through last 9 stitches Tidy up ends, block hat and put on head!
