Overview
The Triandia Neck Warmer is worked from side to side to create a rectangular shape. The work starts with ribbing and is followed by an interesting pattern created entirely of knit and purl stitches. For knitters not accustomed to working in the round, this is a great pattern to try. It also helps knitters hone their skills in creating even fabric with lots of texture. The piece is finished off with ribbing and a seam is sewn to create the tube shape. You may opt to cast on with a needle one size up, or else a bit loosely, to ensure there is some give to the finished opening. This is designed as a snug-fitting neck warmer.
Method
Cast on 60 stitches. Work in K2 P2 ribbing for 1.5". Work in pattern (next page) for 40 rows. Finish in K2 P2 ribbing for 1.5" and bind off loosely. Fold in half and stitch seam (pattern is reversible, so do not be concerned about right or wrong side.) Weave in ends. Block as desired and enjoy your Triandia Neck Warmer!
