This shawl is first knitting with short rows and than the edge pattern. Yarn: my choice was: Magliamania Yarn SEASILK 1 skeins = 437.0 yards (399.6m) please don't choose a multicolored yarn Needle: US 5 = 3,75mm or US 6 = 4,00mm Other Materials: 2 Stitchmarker and tapestry needle Beginning: Cast on 274 sts loosely 1. Row: \* 1 knit 1 purl\* repeat from \* to \* to end 2. Row \* 1 purl 1 knit\* repeat from \* to \* to end 3. Row: \* 1 knit 1 purl\* repeat from \* to \* to end 4. Row: \* 1 purl 1 knit\* repeat to 5 sts before end, turn 5. Row: DS, \* 1 knit, 1 purl\*, repeat to 5 sts before end, turn 6. Row: DS, \* 1 knit, 1 purl\*, repeat to 5 sts before end, turn 7. Row: DS, \* 1 knit, 1 purl\*, repeat to 5 sts before end, turn Repeat row 6 and 7 until 4 sts remaining. Now you knit all stitches - knit the DS as 1 stitch. The next row all stitches are purled. The next 3 rows all stitches purled. DS = Suggestion for knitting short rows: Double stitch: slip stitch as if to purl, tight on working yarn to pull two legs onto needle. This is importend that no holes created. Lace pattern: k 2, \* yo, ssk \* repeat from \* to \* until the half after the half: \*k2tog, yo \* repeat \* to \* to 2 sts before end, the last 2 sts knit. The next 3 rows are purled.
Edge pattern:
Knit 2 , repeat the Chart 15 times ending with 2 knit On the wrong side all stitches are purled.
