Little cowl with textured stripes it'll only take a few hours to knit stitches : Knit, purl and garter stitch
Material : 1 skein of MCN Aran (180 yards) 150m Samples shown here with MCN Aran from Lioness Arts color Haworth and MCN Aran from Northbound Knitting color Saffron. Needles : circular 5 mm (60 cm long are the best choice) Size : Finished size flat is 34cm wide and 20 cm High. One size fits all, but you can easely adapt the size in height by adding extra repeats of the pattern or in length by adding extra stiches at the begining. Cast on 95 stitches on 5mm (Us 8) circular needles Join to work in the round (be carreful not to twist stitches) Place a marker at the beginnig of the row Row 1 : Knit all stitches of the round Row 2 : Purl all stitches of the round . By repeating these last two rows, you will knit garter stitch. Repeat row 1 et 2 three more times. Knit 5 rows Pattern : \*Purl 1 row Knit 3 rows Purl 3 rows Knit3rows \* Repeat the ten rows between \*\* of the pattern three more times Knit 4 rows Repeat row1 and 2 four times (more if you like a larger garter border and have enough yarn).

Finishing
Weave in ends. Soak in lukewarm water and wash with gentle soap. Lay to dry flat.
