For my February trip to Chicago, I wanted a bright red cowl in anticipation of Valentine's Day. I designed this very simple cowl in for cold urban weather as well, which is why I selected the ever-so-soft-and-warm Malabrigo. In addition, the color is bright and intense enough to warm me up just by looking at it! 1 Skein Malabrigo Merino Worsted #24 Vermillion 16" circular needle size 7 Gauge: About 5 stitches per inch

Swiss Dot Pattern:

Rows 1 & 3: Knit. Row 2: K5 P1 around. Row 4: K2, \*P1,K5\* to last 4 stitches,P1, K3.

To knit cowl:

CO 84 Work 10 rows in K1P1 rib. Work Swiss Dot pattern for 5 inches Decrease 4 stitches evenly over next knit row. Work 10 rows in K1P1 rib. Bind off.
