MAUREEN SCARF
Materials: Eight (8) ounces of Worsted Weight Yarn such as Yarn Hollow Brocade or Photograph, (250 yards total), or other worsted yarn, between 4o0 an 5o0 yards. Needle: Size 8 US (5 mm) circular or straight needles, whichever length you prefer working with Gauge: Not necessary. Change needle if you want a different hand to the knitted fabric.
Note about knitted-in I-cord:
I-Cord edge is worked while the scarf is knit. To do this, slip the last three stitches of each row. At the beginning of the next row, work the stitches as they face you, so on a Wrong Side row, Purl the first three stitches that were slipped in the previous row, and on a Right Side Row, knit the first three stitches that were slipped in the previous row.
Note about stitches between the ribbed cables:
The stitch between the ribbed cables are always a Purl stitch. Just purl the stitch between the ribbed cables and you'll be fine!
