Yarn Katia USHUAIA 53 Virgin Wool /47% Acrylic (100g / 93 yds / 85 m) x 2 skeins Hook : US M / 13 / 9 mm Notions : Yarn needle; stitch marker; 0,6" (1.5 cm) button; needle & sewing thread Gauge : Not important for this project.
CROCHET : 3-WAY COWL

Easy/Facile/Facil Uneven bulky yarn & crazy colours make for a comfy-cute neck warmer that can be worn 3 ways.



Abbreviations used :
ch (chain) sc (single crochet) hdc (half-double crochet) dc (double crochet) sl st (slip stitch) beg (begining) rep (repeat) ea (each) st (stitch) Notes & special stitches : FSC : Foundation stitches See tutorial here : http://www.accrochet.com/ 2013/09/19/accrochet-resourceshow-to-work-foundation-stitches/ Beg chs do not replace sts. SECTION1-FLOWER Ch 5 to start, sl st in 1st ch to form a ring. (Do not use a magic ring for this : the center of the flower will be used as a buttonhole.) Round 1 : Ch 1, (3 dc, sl st into ring) 5x. Close round with sl st in 1st ch. (5 petals) Round 2 : Ch 1, over ea petal work (sc in 1st dc, 3 dc in center dc, sc in 3rd dc). Close round with sl st in 1st ch. Finish off & weave in ends. SECTION 2 - FLOWER BAND Ch 17 to start. Row 1 : Sc in 2nd ch and in ea ch across. Turn. (16 sc) Rows 2 to 6 : Ch 1, sc in ea sc across. Turn. At the end of row 6, finish off & weave in ends. Sew button to the center of one of the short sides, near the edge. The space between the sts on the opposite short side will serve as a buttonhole.
SECTION 3 - COwL
FSC 54 to start, sl st in 1st fsc to form a ring. Round 1 : Ch 2, hdc in ea ch around. Close round with sl st in 1st hdc. Rounds 2 to 14 : Ch 2, hdc in ea hdc around. Close round with sl st in 1st hdc. At the end of round 14, finish off & weave in ends.
