Scarf:
CO 52 sts and work Bavarian Seed Stitch Chart back and forth until you reach the desired length for your scarf. BO loosely in pattern.
Gloves
cuff:
CO 36 share between 3 needles. Needle 1:18 sts, needles 2 and 3: 9 sts each. Work ribbing for 16 rounds: 1-16: \* p2, k2T, repeat from \* to end Increase Round1: k1tbl, mltbl, k16tbl, m1tbl, k2tbl, m1tbl, k16tbl, m1tbl, k1tbl (40sts) Round 2: k40tbl Increase round 3: (right hand) k20tbl, m1tbl, k20tbl (left hand): m1tbl, k40tbl (41sts) Round 4: k41tbl
thumb gusset:
For both gloves, the thumb gusset is worked at the same time as the hand. For the right hand it falls between the p sts at the end of needle 1 and the beginning of needle 2; for the left hand, it falls between the p sts at the beginning of needle 1 and the end of needle 3. Thumb Increase: Round 1: pm, kltbl, mlpwise, k1, mlkwise, ktbl, pm Repeat these two rounds increasing 1 st after the first ktbl and one st before the second ktbl in seed stitch pattern on round 1 then continuing in seed stitch pattern in between the ktbl's on round 2. When you have increased 14 stitches between the ktbls, continue in established pattern until round 16 of the Bavarian Chart has been completed then transfer the 15 gusset stitches to scrap yarn to act as a provisional holder. The ktbls are then continued up the mitten. Note: the ktbls are not included in the chart or the palm of hand instructions.

Work the Bavarian Chart over needle 1 (top of hand); over needles 2 and 3 (palm of hand): p1, k17tbl, p1 (24 rounds in total). Once the Bavarian Chart is completed work the following 4 rounds over all 40sts Rounds 1-4: p1, k17tbl, p1, k2tbl, p1, k17tbl, p1 Cut yarn with about a 3 inch tail, using a tapestry needle, insert the needle into the remaining sts and pull tight.
