Yoda

Yoda is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, appearing in the second and third original films, as well as all three prequel trilogy films. Yoda made his first on-screen appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back where he is responsible for training Luke Skywalker in the ways of the Jedi. His final chronological appearance is Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when he dies peacefully at 9o0 years old. He also appears extensively in the two animated Clone Wars series, as well as the Star Wars Expanded Universe of novels and comic books. In the original films, he trains Luke Skywalker to fight against the evil Galactic Empire. In the prequel films, he serves as a leading member of the Jedi Council and as a general in the Clone Wars. In 2008, Yoda was selected by Empire magazine as the 25th greatest movie character of all time. On their list of the 100 Greatest Fictional Characters, Fandomania.com ranked Yoda at number 60.

You can chose how to make the joints. I work with a cotter pin or a safety eye, but you can also thread wire through the arms and the body. I will explain how to use my method. A little tutorial on how to use the other method can be found here: http://nerdigurumi.com/2010/11/wiring-amigurumi-crochet-doll-limbs.html Round 1: 4 sc in mc (4) Round 2: \*1 sc in first st, 2 sc in second st\* around (6) Round 3: \*1 sc in first st, 2 sc in second st\* around (9) Insert cotter pin or safety eye in space between round 2 and 3. Legs Pick up the bodypart again. Keep crocheting until you are at the middle of Yoda's tummy... at his crotch as to say... Now ch 5, sc in the part where his butt crack would be and sc 17 around. Now sc 7 rounds of 22 sts around. FO Insert the yarn again at the crotch and repeat in the opposite direction to get a second leg. Stuff the body and legs. You'll notice that Yoda's fly is open. Stitch it shut. Now make two circles to finish the feet: In brown Round 1: sc 6 in mc (6) Round 2: \*2 sc in st\* around (12) Round 3: \*2sc in next st, 1 sc in next st\* around (18) FO, leaving tail to stitch. Attach themtothebottomofYoda'sfeet. Yoda wears a cool coat. It gets cold on Dagobah! I used baby yarn and a 2mm hook for the coat, to make it more flexible. In cream Back of coat Row 1: ch 25 Row 2 to 16: ch 1, turn, sc across (24) Row 17 to 21: ch1, turn, decr over first sts, sc across, decr over last sts (14 at row 21) Row 22 and 23: ch1, turn, sc across (14) Row 24 to 27: ch1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc across, 2 sc in last sc (22 at row 27) Row 28 to 32: ch1, turn, sc across (22) Row 33 to 36: ch1, turn, decr over first sts, sc across, decr over last sts (14 at row 36) Row 37: fold and sc 7 across, as to make a little hood (7) F0

Sleeves Row 2 to 7: ch 1, turn, sc across (24) FO, leaving a tail to stitch Stitch front and end of the sleeves together as to create a tube. Now stitch them to the coat.
