Needed:

· 3mm knitting needles · 10g or 20m of aran/chunky weight yarn (shown in Fusion by Wendy) · 2 small buttons ·sewing thread crochet hook (to make tassels)

Instructions:

·Cast on 6 stitches First row (RS)- Slip first stitch purl wise , knit 5 ·Second row (WS) - slip first stitch purl wise, purl 4, knit last stitch Repeat rows 1 & 2 until knitting measures 8 inches or required book height, finishing on a WS row · Next row (right side) - knit fbl, knit 4, knit fbl · Next row (ws) - knit · Next row (rs) - purl · Next row (ws) - knit ·Next row - C4B, C4F · Work 7 rows in st st starting with purl row ·Nextrow-C4B,C4F · Work 5 rows in st st startin with a purl row ·Last row - C4B, C4F · Bind off in knit stitch

·Tassels - cut 3 lots of 10cm lengths of yarn and loop each one through the cast on loops using a crochet hook and cut to equal lengths ·Block the bookmark flat so the edges do not curl ·Eyes - sew on the 2 small buttons ·Enjoy a good read with your Owly friend!
