Wicked Woollens 'Grim Squeaker' Egg Cosy Knitting Pattern: A Charitable Design for Alzheimer's Research

'Grim Squeaker' Egg Cosy

This little egg cosy is a quick knit and makes a cute pocket toy if don't fancy an egg cosy and follow the additional instructions at the end. He's actually quite a big fit on an average egg, so consider making him in a fibre that will full and shrink him down a little if you wish to refine the egg-warming properties. Or, make his robe longer and he might just be a good phone or ipod cosy! Pictured here without his scythe, this is an optional accessory that can be made in a number of ways, he'll also hold your eggspoon under one arm quite well. Supplies: 4ply yarn in black and white or bone 2.75mm needles Gauge fairly irrelevant as long as you are getting a nice knit.

Pattern notes:

A note on row numbering in this pattern, he's very geometric in structure, so I've tended to restart numbering 'row one, row two' for each change of shape, I think this won't cause too much confusion, it seemed most logical as I worked him out rather than trying to count whole pieces of knitting. The nose and hood are worked in the flat, the body in the round.
