Stitches used and abbreviations

SC = single crochet st = stitch ch = chain sl st = slip stitch FO = finish off Extras: Stitchmarker Polyfill Yarnneedle If you want to add a face then you can use 6mm eyes and some black yarn for a smile Aran/worsted weight (10ply) yarn can be used instead of DK - you may need to use a 5mm crochet hook if you do. This pattern is written in US terms Work backwards and forwards in rows (unless otherwise stated) The number at the end of each row is the number of stitches you should have at the end of each row. This should help you to see if you have completed the row correctly

Main

(In white) Chain 8 (8) Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from the hook, and along in each ch along (7) Row 2-6: Turn, Ch 1, sc in each st along (7) Row 7: Turn, Ch 1, sc in each st in the back loops only (7) Row 8-12: Turn, Ch 1, sc in each st along (7) Row 13: Turn, Ch 1, sc in each st in the back loops only (7) Row 14-18 : Turn, Ch 1, sc in each st along (7) Row 19: Turn, Ch 1, sc in each st in the back loops only (7) Row 20-24 : Turn, Ch 1, sc in each st along (7) Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing

Sides - Make 2

Assembly

Add the face to one of the sides (if you are doing so) Stitch the first row of the main part to the last row to the main part Sew in 1 side piece Sew in 2"d side piece but leave a flap un sewn Stuff the cube lightly - don't overfill overwise he will become too round Sewtherestof thesideshut Stand back, admire your handy work :)
