Knitting Pattern for Sherlock-Inspired Smart Apps Squares Blanket with Moriarty's Theme

Smart Apps

as designed to be part of my Sherlock blanket. It's composed of 4 small squares knitted separately. Those squares are inspired by Moriarty's smart phone applications that you can see in the series Sherlock. One of those applications is for listening music. The others are... well.. very specials: freeing prisoners, stealing the bank of England...

Materials

1 skein of Ideal (50g/125m, needles 3.5 mm, gauge 24sts / 31 rws) from Bergere de France in Everest (White) 1 skein of ldeal (50g/125m, needles 3.5 mm, gauge 24sts / 31 rws) from Bergere de France in Girolle (Orange/Yellow) 1 skein of Ildeal (50g/125m, needles 3.5 mm, gauge 24sts / 31 rws) from Bergere de France in Aquatique (Dark Blue) 1 skein of Idéal (50g/125m, needles 3.5 mm, gauge 24sts / 31 rws) from Bergere de France in Mysosotis (Light Blue) 3.5mmneedles

Directions for four 10 cm /10 cm squares:

Cast on 26 sts (= 24 sts + 2 edge sts). Start with a wrong side row (= row 1). Follow one chart. Bind off. Weave in the end. Block your square. Work the other squares the same way. You can also chose to knit only one big square (20 cm / 20 cm) but be sure you don't forget to remove the edge stitches. If you're gauge is different from mine, you can add a darker or black border all around the square to imitate the border of real smart phone applications.

Notice:

K = knit P = purl RS = right side WS = wrong side st = stitch rw = row K on RS / P on Ws / use Everst color K on RS / P on Ws / use Aquatique color K on Rs / P on Ws / use Mysosotis color K on Rs / P on Ws / use Girolle color
