

Gameday/Anyday Beanies
By Nacho Mama's Crochet This is pattern is a simple beanie to make for an adult. You can add more rows to make it a slouchy beanie, you can put stripes any way you like to make a striped beanie or to help create a character. This pattern is made for a beginner to advanced beginner.
Materials:
oroximately 1/2 skein of yarn from Red Heart Super Saver (your color/s) J &I crochet hook Yarn needle for sewing
Abbreviations:
Sc - single crochet hdc - half double crochet Nacho Mama's Crochet
Stitches:
Single crochet Half Double crochet Chain Slip stitch
Instructions:
Row 1. Ch 2, 10 hdc in the 2nd chain from the hook, ss to the top of the 1st hdc (not the chain 2). 10 hdc Row 2. Ch 1, 2 hdc in the same stitch, 2 hdc in each remaining stitch. Ss to the top of the 1st hdc (not the chain 1). 20 hdc Row 3. Ch 1, 2 hdc in the same stitch, 1 hdc in the next stitch, \*2 hdc in the next stitch, 1 hdc in the next stitch\* repeat to the end. Ss to the top of the 1st hdc (not the chain 1). 30 hdc. Row 4. Ch 1, 2 hdc in the same stitch, 1 hdc in the next 2 stitches, \*2 hdc in the next stitch, 1 hdc in the next 2 stitches\* repeat to the end. Ss to the top of the 1st hdc (not the chain 1). 40 hdc. Row 5. Ch 1, 2 hdc in the same stitch, 1 hdc in the next 3 stitches, \*2 hdc in the next stitch, 1 hdc in the next 3 stitches\* repeat to the end. Ss to the top of the 1st hdc (not the chain 1). 50 hdc. Row 6. Ch 1, 2 hdc in the same stitch, 1 hdc in the next 4 stitches, \*2 hdc in the next stitch, 1 hdc in the next 4 stitches\* repeat to the end. Ss to the top of the 1st hdc (not the chain 1). 60 hdc. Beanie: Row 7 - 14. Ch1, 1 hdc in the same stitch, 1 hdc in each remaining stitch. Ss to the top of the 1st hdc. Slouchy Beanie: Row 7 - 16. Ch1, 1 hdc in the same stitch, 1 hdc in each remaining stitch. Ss to the top of the 1st hdc. Nacho Mama's Crochet Ribbed edging: Row 1. Using an I hook, ch 1, FPHDC in same stitch, BPHDC in the next stitch. \*FPHDC in the next stitch, BPHDC in the next stitch\* repeat around. SS to the first hdc. 3. Repeat row 1. At the end of row 3, FO leaving a tail to weave in end.
Variations:
Play with stripes! I made a hat each for the Bronco's & the Seahawks using stripes. For the Seahawks, I used the eye pattern from www.facebook/mistymakes.com (it can be found on Ravelry/MistyMakes. On the Seahawks beanie, I made 1 row of sc in heather gray on both sides of the green hdc rows. You can made a pom pom, it's endless! You are done! Isn't it beautiful?
