Supplies Needed:
Size N (10.00mm) crochet hook 2 skeins Darn Good Yarn silk or chiffon of your choice (between 100 and 120 yards for both) 2 skeins super bulky acrylic yarn of your choice in any color (approximately 130 yards for both) Scissors Tapestry Needle (for sewing in your ends)
Stitches Used:
ch (chain) sl st (slip stitch) dc (double crochet) sc (single crochet) blo (back loop only)
Notes:
The entirety of the cowl will be worked by holding two strands together. One strand of the ribbon and one strand of the super bulky acrylic.
Directions:
Holding two strands together, make a slip knot and chain 51. Being careful not to twist, join with sl st in beginning ch to form a ring. Rnd 1: Ch 2, dc in same ch as joining and in each ch around; join with sl st in first dc - 50 dc. Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc IN BLO in the same ch as joining and in each ch around; join with a sl st in first dc -50 dc. Rnd 3 - 8(10): Repeat rnd 2 \~You should have a cowl roughly 10 inches deep. You can choose to finish off at this point or continue for a further 2 rows to create and extra deep cowl of 12 inches.\~

Rnd 9 (11): ch 1, sc in same ch as joining and in each ch around. Finish off: sl st into the top of ch 2 and pull through. Use tapestry needle to weave in ends.
