1 \*(Knit 8, k2tog); repeat from \* 2 Knit all even rounds until round 10 3 \*(Knit 7, k2tog); repeat from \* 5 \*(Knit 6, k2tog); repeat from \* \*\*Switch to DPNs 7 \*(Knit 5, k2tog); repeat from \* when no longer 9 \*Knit 4, k2 tog): repeat from \* comfortable on 11 \*(Knit 3, k2 tog); repeat from \* circular needles. 12 \*(K2tog, k2); repeat from \* 13 \*(Knit 1, k2tog); repeat from \* 14 \*(K2tog); repeat across row Cut yarn, thread through remaining stitches, anchor. With red yarn and crochet hook, single crochet around the entire perimeter of hat and ear flaps. Slip stitch to join at end.
