Stockinette stich: RS knit, WS purl. Purl stripe: 1st row knit, then WS knit, RS purl. Gauge: 19 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm in st st.
Front
Cast on 68 s in peach and work in garter stitch for 6 rows. Work in st st in yellow for 8 rows, 4 rows purl stripe in mint (= 1st row knit, 2nd row WS knit, 3rd row RS purl, 4th row WS knit), 4 rows st st in peach, 6 rows purl stripe in yellow, 8 rows st st in mint, 2 rows purl stripe in yellow, 4 rows st st in gray, 6 rows purl stripe in peach, 8 rows st st in yellow, 4 rows purl stripe in mint, 4 rows st st in gray, 6 rows purl stripe in yellow, 4 rows st st in Pattern Copyright @ Birkenwasseranhohe GmbH The pattern is for unlimited personal use. When the piece measures 27 cm, bind off for armholes at the beg. of the following rows 1 x 3 sts., 1 x 2 sts., and 3 x 1 st. Work until 8 cm from the first armhole bind off and bind off the middle 8 sts for neck. Bind off at the beg. of the following every other row 1 x 4 sts., 1 x 3 sts., 1 x 2 sts. ja 1 x 1 st. Work until 13 cm from the first armhole bind off and bind off the remaining 12 sts. Connect yarn to the other side of neck and finish this side to correspond.
Back
Work as in front until the piece measures 10 cm from the first armhole bind off. Bind off the middle 16 sts for neck and bind off at the beg. of the following every other row 1 x 3 sts., 1 x 2 sts. and 1 x 1 st. Work until 13 cm from the first armhole bind off and bind off remaining 12 sts. Connect yarn to the other side of neck and finish this side to correspond.
Sleeves
Cast on 58 sts in mint and work in garter stich for 4 rows. Continue with stripes (N.B. the first bind offs when the piece measures 5 cm!): work 6 rows in gray st st, 6 rows purl stripe in peach, 4 rows st st in mint, 2 rows purl stripe in yellow, 6 rows st st in gray, 6 rows purl stripe in mint, 4 rows st st in gray, 4 rows purl stripe in peach and the rest in gray st st. When the piece measures 5 cm bind off at the beg. of the following row 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, and 14 x 1 st. Bind off the remaining 20 sts. Knit the other sleeve to correspond.
Finishing
Pin pieces wrong side up and steam lightly. Sew up shoulder seams, side seams and sleeve seams. Attach sleeves to armholes. Right side facing you, pick up 76 sts. around the neck and work in garter stich (first row purl) for 5 rows. Bind off loosely. Weave in ends.
