Volcano Beanie Knitting Pattern by Rockchick Knits: A Dunedin-Inspired Project with Detailed Instructions and Colorful Pom Pom

Volcano Beanie

By Rockchick Knits

Pattern illustration

Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula are formed from a large, now extinct and deeply eroded volcano. The remnant flanks of the volcano are the green stalks that once rose proudly from the sea, forming the prominent tentacles around Port Chalmers. The volcano is drowning as it erodes, slowly creeping back into the sea.
