SECTION THREE:COWL
To start FSC 54, sl st to 1st FSC to form ring. Foundation stitches are a wonderful technique everycrochetershouldknow, ifonlybecauseit works both the starting chain and first row together, eliminating the need to work that pesky firstrowinto the chains. How does one FSC? Quite easily, really. There areloads ofvideosoutthere, and aniftyphoto tutorial in theresourcessection on AccROchet. Go practice and then come back to this pattern. 1. Ch 2 (does not count as 1st hdc), hdc in 1st fsc and in ea fsc around, sl st to 1st hdc to close. 54 hdc. To avoid having an unsightly hole at the beginning of each round, the ch2 does not count as the 1st hdc. As such, you will be slip stitching into the 1st hdc, chaining 2,and workingyourfirsthdcinsamestitch. 2. Ch 2 (does not count as 1st hdc), hdc in 1st hdc and in ea hdc around, sl st to 1st hdc to close. 54 hdc. 3. to 14. Repeat round 2 until you run out of yarn. Finish off & weave in ends.

FINISHING Cowl can be worn 3 ways : 1. As is, with no accessories. Hide & Seek!

2. With band wrapped around and buttoned. Comfy for work.

3. With band wrapped around and buttoned, and buttoning flower to band. Cutey patootey!
