Pattern Notes:

Stitches to be slipped on the RS rows are to be slipped purlwise. All RS rows are odd-numbered, while all WS rows are even-numbered. On all WS rows, slip all markers as you come to them.

With crochet hook and waste yarn, chain 7. With shawl yarn and needles, pick up 3 sts in the middle of the chain and knit 10 rows in garter stitch. Next Row: K3, turn work and pick up 5 sts in garter ridges along side of work. Unravel chain and place 3 sts onto left needle and knit them. (1l sts).
