Chain 4, join with sl st to form loop Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc from here on), 11 dc into ring. Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (12 st) Round 2: Ch 3, dc into base of ch, 2 dc in each dc around. Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (24 st) Round 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, \*1 dc, 2 dc in next\* 11 times around. Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (36 st) Diameter of circle should measure 5.75" at this point. Round 4: Ch 3, work 4 dc even, then 2 dc in next dc, \*5 dc even, 2 dc in next\* 5 times around. Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (42 st) Round 5-9: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (42 st) Round 1o: Drop Color A yarn, but do not fasten off. Pick up 2 strands of worsted weight yarn or single strand of Color B Thick & Quick. Ch 1, sc in each dc. Row 1: Pick up Color A again and cut off Color B. Work on top of Color B tails to weave in ends. Switch to 5.5 mm I hook. Ch 1, 20 sc. (20 st) Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Skip sc at base of ch and next sc. 4 sc, 2 sc in next, 3 sc, 2 sc in next, 3 sc, 2 sc in next, 4 sc to end. (21 sc) Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Skip sc at base of ch and next sc. 18 sc. (18 st) Row 4: Ch 1, turn. Skip sc at base of ch and next sc. \*3 sc, 2 sc in next\* 3 times, 3 sc to end. Row 5: Reverse sc around edge. 18 across edge of brim, 1 in each row end on brim, 22 around bottom of hat, and 1 in each row end on other side of brim. Fasten off and weave inends.
