Front and back joining.
Place the sweater and front and back against each other with the front textures facing. Align the sides, top and bottom. Cut a piece of yarn and thread the tapestry needle. Tie a knot at the end of the yarn and sew up the side of the sweater (bottom to top). Leave about 2.5 inches at the top open for the arm holes. Repeat on the opposite side. Using another piece of yarn sew up and tie off each of the tops (shoulders) of the two sweater sides. Turn back right side out.
Yoke (using 4.0 mm Crochet Hook):
Round 1: Attach yarn in the yoke/neck, chain 2, sc evenly around the yoke. Slip stitch with the chain.
Bottom (using 5.5 mm Crochet Hook):
Round 1: Join yarn at the bottom of the sweater. Chain 3, dc evenly around the bottom of the sweater. Slip stitch with the chain. Round 2: Chain 3, moving the in the same direction as round 1, [FPS, BPS] repeat around the sweater, end with a FPS (the chain represents a BPS). Slip stitch with chain. Round 3: Repeat Round 2. Tie off. Sleeves (using 5.5 mm Crochet Hook): Round 1: Join yarn near the side seem, work dc evenly around the arm hole (21 dc), slip stitch with chain. Round 2: Chain 3, dc in the first gap, work 4 dc, then FPS, FPS, FPS, skip a gap, dc in next gap, CS1, skip a gap, dc in next gap, FPS, FPS, FPS, skip a gap, dc in next gap, then 3 dc. Slip stitch with chain. Round 3: (working in the same direction) Chain 3, skip a gap, dc in next gap, work 3 dc, skip a gap, then FPS, FPS, FPS, dc in next gap, skip a gap, FPS, FPS, FPS, FPS, dc in next gap, skip a gap, FPS, FPS, FPS, dc in next gap, then 4 dc. Slip stitch with chain.
