Waffle stitch pattern -- Adapted for a knitting loom by Cindy Abernethy (maxfun@comcast.net)
I used 3 skeins of Wool Ease yarn, working with one strand. I ended up with an afghan approximately $32"$ square. You could make this longer if desired. Cast on multiple of 8 plus 1 using simple e-wrap on each peg

Repeat rows 11 through 18 to desired length Finish with border as follows:
To bind off:
Using size G or H crochet hook, lift the stitch offthe first peg. One loop ison the hook. \* Lift the next stitch of the next peg and pul through the first loop on the hook. Make a single chain stitch -- don't pull i too tight. \* Repeat from \* to \* until you have one loop left on the hook and no stitches on pegs. Make one last chain stitch, cut the yarn -- leaving a tail-- and pullall the way through. Weave in loose end and trim so it doesn't show.
