Materials: ·Red Heart Yarn - 2 skeins Cherry Red (Main Color) and one skein black (Contrasting Color). ·Size I(9) Crochet Hook · 2 dowel rods. (One cut to 25" and the other cut to 18") Notes: This project is worked from the top down. The triangles on the bottom are added separately. Dowel rods are attached last. \*\* The color change chart does not accurately depict every stitch. I added 10 rows of my main color before row 1 on the chart and 5 rows of main color after the chart ends. I also added 10 stitches to each side of the color chart in order to get my final product size. I tried to indicate this as best I could in the written instructions. Finished size: 22" wide, 35" long (to points of triangles). With MC, chain 62. Sc in each ch across. Ch 1 and turn. Rows 2 - 10: Sc in each stitch across. Ch 1 and turn. Rows 11 - 90: SC with main color in each of the first 10 stitches. SC each stitch across following the chart attached. Sc with main color in last 10 stitches. Ch 1 and turn. Bottom Points or Triangles: With a stitch marker, mark the middle of the piece. Row 91: Attach main color to stitch one (or 61 depending on which side you're working on). SC to middle. Ch 1 turn. Row 92: Skip first st. Sc in next stitch and in each sc across. Ch 1 and turn. Row 93: Sc in each stitch until last two stitches. Decrease in last two stitches. Ch 1 and turn. Repeat rows 92 and 93 until only one stitch is left. Fasten off and tie in ends. Assembly \*\*Thealyinstctionsnyappiyueaddth 0rwsbore thcolohart andwa hang the banner. Top (25") Dowel Rod: Roll the dowel rod with the first ten rows of the design and sew closed. You may not necessarily need all ten rows, but use what you feel comfortable with. (i.e. If you want to be able to slide the dowel rod out easily use more. If you want a more secure fit, use fewer rows.) Optional Bottom (18") Dowel Rod: This dowel rod was only included to add some weight to the wallhanging, so it's not necessarily needed to hang the banner. To securely attach the rod I made two small pieces: Row 1: With main color chain 12. DC in third ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 2 and turn. Row 2: DC in each st across. Fasten off leaving a long tail. Using the tail from the piece, sew one side to the bottom of the banners where the triangles start. Put the dowel rod in place and sew the other side, enclosing the dowel rod. One smaller piece should be in the middle of each triangle. See picture.
