Tweedy Neckwarmer
By Sheila Trunzo for Wool2Dye4 & Uptown Stitches Knit a Tweedy neckwarmer in the shape of a mobius, a never-ending figure eight with one edge. Knit the piece back and forth on your favorite needles, then turn one end $180^{\circ}$ to form the attractive drape in the knitted fabric. This simple pattern is quick and easy to memorize and knits into a truly reversible fabric. The basic stitch pattern can also be used as an interesting replacement for basic ribbing.

FINISHING: To form mobius, slip short-end stitches of knitted rectangle onto a needle. Then, slip other shortend stitches onto another needle, with the tip facing the opposite direction. Bring both tips parallel, and weave together with Kitchener Stitch or Three-Needle Bind-Off. Sew on decorative buttons if desired. NOTEs: The stitch pattern is reversible, and can be worked on any size, any gauge yarn/needle combination. YOUR YARN: Tweed\* is a $100\%$ Merino wool yarn from Peru made of 2 plies of nonsuperwash twisted with 1 ply of superwash. The superwash ply absorbs more color from the dyepot than the non-superwash so your yarn takes on a candy cane or barber's pole look. When knitted, the fabric appears like tweed. Approximately 181 yards per 100 gram skein. \*Undyed yarn is available from www.Wool2Dye4.com and hand dyed yarns are availablefrom www.UptownStitches.com.
