Card Holder / Card Pouch
Materials needed: Fingering weight yarn U.S. size 1 dpn or circular needles U.S. size C crochet hook Gauge: Approx. 8 st / inch Finished object measures approx. 4” x 3" Pattern: Cast on 48 stitches.

Round 1: knit Round 2: purl Round 3 and all subsequent rounds: knit (st st.) Knit around until work measures 3.5-4 inches. Bind off using 3-needle bind-off or Kitchner Stitch. Flap: At opening of pouch, pick up and knit 24 stitches along one side (will become back of pouch). Knit each row (garter stitch) until flap measure 1' or desired length. Slip 1"t st of each row if desired. hen using size C crochet hook, chain 12. Reconnect to flap and continue to B Strap: At one side of opening, adjacent to flap, use size C crochet hook to join yarn and chain until strap is 4-5 inches long (or desired length). Tie a small loop in this end. (Alternately, make an I-cord with size 1 needles.)

Finishing: Attach a smallbutton at opposite side of opening. Thread chain through the loop a bit to make a slip-knot to loop over the button (see picture). Attach a larger button on the front of the pouch for the flap closure.
