Crochet Pattern
Materials: Yarn: 1 skein Worsted weight yarn for hat, 3 yards each color for rosebuds, 4 yards each color for roses, 2 yards green for leaf Hook size(s): “J" (6 mm), “"F" (3.75mm), stitch marker Sizes: newborn to large adult Gauge: 12 stitches and 14 rows in sc = 4" x 4" Abbreviations: sl st - slip stitch Ip - loop sc - single crochet hdc - half double crochet edc - extended double crochet dc-double crochet tr - treble crochet 2dctog - decrease 2 dc together st or sts - stitch or stitches ch - chain stitch rnd(s) - round(s) sp-space beg - beginning
All sizes: This part of the hat is worked in the round, and has no joins. Use a stitch marker to mark the 1st stitch of each round.
Using J hook
Round 1 - starting with a magic circle, ch 1, 6 sc into circle. (6 sc) Round 2 - 2sc in ea sc around. (12 sc) Round 3 - \*sc, 2sc in next\*, repeat from \* to \* around. (42 sc) end here for 3- 6mos. Round 8 - \* sc in the next 6, 2sc in next, repeat from \* to \* around. (48 sc) end here for 6- 12moS.
