Estelle Permin 70% Wool/ 20% Angora/ 10% Silk (50 g) Elann Silken Kydd 70% Super Kid Mohair/ 30% Silk (25 g ) 3.25mm circular needle or DPNs Cableneedle Gauge: 23 sts = 10 cm Size: 27 cm high and 50 cm circonference (10.5" x 20") can stretch up to 56 cm (22") With 3.25mm needle, and 1 strand of Permin and one strand of Silken Kydd, cast on 120 stitches. INSTRUCTIONS:

With 6mm needle and 4 strands of Permin, cast on 70 stitches. Join in the round. Work K1/P1 ribs for 5 cm (2 inches). For a turned over band, knit K1/P1 ribs for 15 cm (6 inches). Work one increase row: \*K3, K F/B in next stitch \* repeat to end = 87 stitches. Place markers every 29 stitches. Follow the Body Chart and work rows 1 to 12 twice. There are 29 stitches shown on the chart and there are 3 repeats of the 29 stitches per row. Written instructions are included below the chart to be repeated 3 times. Once you have completed rows 1-12 twice, follow the Decrease Chart once. Close off when there are 18 stitches. Cut off thread and insert through the remaining stitches. Pull tight and secure.

Estelle Permin 70% Wool/ 20% Angora/ 10% Silk - 75 g 4mm and 4.5 mm circular needle or DPNs 2.5 or 3mm auxiliary circular needle or thread Gauge: 19 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm Size: 28 cm high and 48 cm circonference (11" x 19") can stretch up to 56 cm (22") With 4mm needle, and 2 strands of Permin, cast on 96 stitches. Join in the round. Work rib pattern K1 P1 for 4 cm. Change to 4.5mm and knit 1 row. Pass the 2.5mm circular needle through all stitches and leave the stitches on both cables. This will help you pick up this first row and knit it together with row 5 to make a welt. Knit 4 more rows with the 4.5mm needle. WELT: fold the hat so that both needles are touching on the inside; make sure that you are on a straight line. With the 4.5mm needle, knit one stitch from the current row with one stitch being held by the 2.5mm needle.
