ACCROchet Hook Case
Un free pattern for beginners.



INGREDIENTS : Hook : H (5 mm) & F (3,75 mm) Yarn : 1 5 oz ball - Caron Simply Soft & Small quantity of Sport Weight Needle for weaving in ends, stitch markers. Finished size : 30 a 40cm (large) x 20cm (high) - 12 to 16"x 8" SECTION ONE: BASE With 5 mm hook & Simply Soft, make an uneven # ch to measure between 30 to 40 cm (12 to 16"). 1. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, \*sc in next ch, dc in next chain. Repeat from \* to end of row. Turn. 2. Ch 1, sc in 1st dc, dc in next sc, \*sc in next dc, dc in next sc. Repeat from \* to end of row。 Turn.
ABBREVIATIONS :
Sl st : slip stitch Ch : chain Sc : single crochet Hdc : half-double crochet Dc : double crochet Ea :each 3. Repeat row 2 until base reaches height of 20cm (8"). DO NOT FASTEN OFF! SECTION TWO:BASE BORDER
Working along the 4 sides of your base, work a border in hdc as follows : 1. Ch 2 (does not count as first stitch), hdc in ea sc and dc across, 3 hdc in corner (place marker (PM) in 2nd corner hdc), hdc in ea row end, 3 hdc in corner (PM), hdc in ea ch loop, 3 hdc in corner (PM), hdc in ea row end, 3 hdc in corner (PM), join with sl st in 1st hdc. 2. Ch 2 (does not count as first stitch), (hdc in ea hdc, 3 hdc in ea marked stitch (PM in 2nd hdc of corner) 4 times, join with sl st in 1st hdc. 3. to 5. Repeat round 2. 4. Fasten off & weave in ends. SECTION THREE : LACE HOOK HOLDER With Sport Weight yarn & 3.75 mm hook, ch 9。 1. Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next ch, sk next ch, ch 1, 5 dc in next ch (shell), ch 1, sk next ch, dc in last 2 ch. Turn. 2. Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in next dc, ch 1, shell in center dc of shell from preceding row, ch 1, dc in next dc and in top of turning ch. 3. Repeat row 2 until your slightly stretched lace hook holder is same width as base. Fasten off & weave in ends.

SECTION FOUR:TIE Hint : you can replace the crocheted tie with a matching length of ribbon. With Simply Soft & 5 mm hook (or Sport Weight & 3.75 mm hook), ch 81. 1. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across. 80 sc. Fasten off & weave in ends. SECTION FIVE:ASSEMBLY Sew TIE to outside center of BASE. Sew LACE HOOK HOLDER to center width of BASE (sew top and bottom of holder). Insert your hooks through LACE HOOK HOLDER & fold hook case as in second photo.
