Ghoose Your Own Hdventure
by Kate Poe I went through a stage as a child where I read a lot of Choose Your Own Adventure books. It would take me forever to finish one, as I would have to make sure that I had read all of the different endings. Unlike the book versions, none of the choices in this sock will result in serious bodily harm (or death). The socks have panels of twisted stitches framed by mock cables. The twisted stitch pattern is comprised of 8 different sections. Which section is worked is determined by answering (knitting related) questions. Sizes: Ladies Small (Medium, Large), 6.5 (7.5, 8.5) inches in circumference. Framing purl stitches may be added to increase the size ifdesired. Yarn: Holiday Yarns Sock Flock, 1 skein (400 yards). Fingering weight yarn, 75% merino/25% nylon, 400 yards to 100 grams. Needles: US 1 (2.25mm) or size needed for gauge Gauge: 34 stitches and 48 rows in 4 inches in stockinette Stitchmarkers: 4
Special Stitches:
Right Twist (RT): knit the second stitch and leave on needle, knit the first stitch. Remove both stitches. Left Twist (LT): Pass the tip of the right-hand needle behind the first stitch on the left-hand needle; knit the second stitch on the left-hand needle through the back loop and leave on needle; then knit the first stitch normally. Remove both stitches.
