Cowl fur Manner
Nachdem ich fur verschiedene weibliche Menschen Cowls gestrickt habe, war einer fur meinen Liebsten dran, der diese Teile ungemein praktisch findet, da man nicht mit den herunterhängenden Enden eines Schals umzugehen hat, die meist lastig sind. Er wollte auch kein voluminoses Teil um den Hals haben, sondern etwas, das ihn wärmt und praktisch ist. Das wird benotigt: 100 g Lana Grossa Bingo Print, LL 80m/50 g (hier Farbe Nr. 353), kurze Rundstricknadel (40cm) Nr. 5,5 oder ein Nadelspiel 5,5, Stopfnadel zum Vernahen der Enden. Bitte beachten: Die Strickschrift befindet sich am Ende dieser Anleitung.
Anleitung:
98 Maschen anschlagen und zur Runde schlieBen. Dann eine Runde rechts, eine links stricken. Falls man die Maschen nicht zur Runde schlieBen kann, weil sie zu stramm auf der Nadel sitzen, erst zwei Reihen rechts hin und zuruck stricken und dann zur Runde schlieBen. Dabei aufpassen, dass man die Maschen nicht verdreht. Nun nach der Strickschrift stricken. Der Rapport geht uber 7 Maschen und 6 Reihen. Wer dunneres Garn verwendet oder wem der Cowl zu nah anliegt, kann also leicht Mustersatze hinzufugen. Nach der gewunschten Lange zwei Runden glatt rechts anfugen und locker abketten. Cowl for Men
After knitting cowls for various women, it was the turn of my dearest. He finds it very handy because you do not have to deal with the dangling ends of a scarf which can be annoying. He didn't want anything too bulky around his neck but something that keeps him warm and is practical too.
You will need:
100 g Lana Grossa Bingo Print, (Colour No. 353), circular needle (40cm) Nr. 5,5 or DPN 5,5 tapestryneedle Please note: You'll find the chart both in English and German at the end of these instructions.
Directions:
I cast on 98 stitches for 14 pattern repeats (in the width) knitted on a 40 cm, 5.5 circular needle. Certainly it's possible to use DPNs but I do not feel comfortable with them in relation to this amount of stitches. Join to round. If not possible as the stitches are too tight, then first knit two rows and then join them to round. Close that gap later when weaving in the ends. Then start with the pattern as shown in the chart. Every pattern repeat contains 7 stitches and 6 rows so you can easily add repeats if you want changes in length and width or if you use another type of yarn. After reaching the desired length add two rounds in stockinette stitch, and then bind off knitwise. Make sure to bind off very loosely. Close the gap if you haven't knitted in rounds from the beginning. Weave in ends.
