Pattern
Cast on 60 (64) 68 st, divide them across the needles and continue in the round Rows 1 & 3: Knit Rows 2 & 4: Purl Continue in pattern: \*K4 (5) 6, k2tog x 2, (yo, k1) x 4, k2tog x 2\*, repeat \*-\* until end of rnd Repeat this pattern x 10 or until required length Decrease 8 st evenly across the needles = 52 (56) 60 st Work k1, p1 rib until it measures a couple of cm more that the lace edge To work the heel, turn work so that the folded down right side of the lace comes on the right side of the sock Work 5 (512) 6 cm flat in st st on needles 4 & 1: Decrease for heel from the right side: k11, k2tog, k1, turn Sl1, p3, p2tog, p1, turn Sl1, k4, k2tog, k1, turn Sl1, p5, p2tog, p1, turn Sl1, k6, k2tog, k1, turn Continue like this until all st are used on both sides Pick up 9 (10) 11 st along side of heel, knit needles 2 & 3 and pick up another 9 (10) 11 st on the other side of heel Work 2 rnds Decrease on ea side of the heel: On needle 1: knit until 3 st remain, k2tog, k1 On needle 4: k1, k2tog, knit until end of needle Repeat the decreases every 2nd row until 58 (62) 66 st remain Knit until foot reaches over the little toe = approx 23 (24) 25 cm or required length Start decreases for the toe: On needles 1 & 3: Knit until 3 st remain, k2tog tbl, k1 On needles 2 & 4: k1, k2tog, knit until end of needle Repeat the decreases every 2nd rnd x 3 (3) 4 and then every rnd until 8 st remain Break yarn, pull it through the stitches and fasten Make a second sock Put the socks in hot water, felt a litle and put to dry
