JOULUTAHTIPALLO
Ohjeet ja kuva Laura Hamari 2015 Pallo koostuu kahdesta viisikulmaisesta afrikankukasta ja taytteen? on muovinen joulupallo. Varit on valittu joulutahden innoittamana ja vareja vaihtamalla saa hyvin erilaisen lopputuloksen. Ohje on hyvin viitteellinen ja perustuu sihen, että virkkaaja osaa jo virkata afrikankukan. Tarvikkeet:
keskipaksua sukkalankaa (Nalle, Maija) 0 keltaista keskustan, punaista teralehtin ja vihreaa pohjaksi 3 mm virkkuukoukku muovinen joulupallo, halkaisija n. 7 cm
Tyoohje:
· Virkkaa viisikulmainen afrikankukka. Visikulmainen afrikankukka virkataan samoin kuin tavallinen kuusikulmainen, mutta ensimmaisella kerroksella pylvaskimppuja on kuuden sijaan visi. Vimeisella kerroksella jata pois kulmien toiset pylvaat ja ketjusilmukat, jotta tyo alkaa muotoutua kulhomaiseksi. Tarkista koko eli peittaako kukka jo puolet muovipallosta. Jos ei, nin virkkaa tarpeen mukaan joko kerros kinteita silmukoita tai pylvaita. Paattele. Virkkaa toinen saman kokoinen puolikas. Laita kukat nurjat puolet vastakkain ja virkkaa pilosilmukoilla yhteen noin puolet ymparyksestä. Laita joulupallo syntyneen pussin sisalle ja aseta ripustuskohta aivan kerroksen aloituskohtaan kiinni. Virkkaa kerros loppuun niin lahelle ripustuskohtaa kuin mahdollista ja paattele.

Instructions and photo by Laura Hamari 2015 The ball constructs of two five cornered african flowers and is filled with a plastic christmas ball. The colors are inspired by the colors of poinsettias and by changing them the results will be very different. The pattern is cursory, written in American crochet terms and assumes that you can already crochet an african flower. Supplies:
sport weight yarn (use what ever you have) 0 yellow for the center, red for the petals and green for the base 3 mm crochet hook plastic christmas ball, circumference c. 7 cm
How to make this:
Crochet a five cornered african flower. It is crocheted in the same manner as the basic six cornered, but in the first round do only five bunches of double crochet stitches instead of the six. On the last round, leave out in the corners the chain stitch and the second double crochet stitch, so that the piece will start to form a bowl. Check the size, does the piece already cover half of the ball. If it doesn't, continue to crochet a round of single crochet or double crochet. Bind off. Crochet the second flower in the same manner. Place the flowers together right sides up and crochet together with slip stitches about half the way round. Place the ball inside the pouch, the handle of the ball as close to the beginning of the round as possible. Finish the round as close as possible to the handle. Bind off.
