Simplicity

A one ball easy lace shawl
I had two things in mind whilst creating this shawl. One, to make a shawl out of one ball of yarn. I used Noro Taiyo Sock 100g but any 4ply yarn will work well. Also, I wanted to make an easy lace shawl. When I first started to knit lace (not that I am by any means an expert now!) I got so confused and frustrated, firstly understanding the pattern , then not getting it right and having to rip my work back many times and start again. So this shawl has the open lace stitch appearance but with very simple stich patterns that are easy to pick up quickly. It can also be easily knitted in different yarns weights, just alter the size of the needle you are using accordingly. This is the first pattern I have written down that is not just for me so I apologise in advance if there are any errors. I have test knitted it a couple times so I hope there are not but if you have any problems then please contact me. I hope you enjoy it!

This method does use alot of yarn though. Block shawl.
