Materials and Tools
·Fingering weight yarn,approximately 200 yards · Knitting needles: US 5 ( $3.75\,\mathsf{m m})$ , circular or pair of straights, or size to obtain gauge · Stitch markers ·Yarn needle
20 sts, $28\,\mathsf{r o w s}=4"/10\mathsf{c m}$ in lace pattern, blocked.
Always take time to check your gauge.
Special Stitches
K2tog: Knit 2 together. SK2P: Slip1 st knitwise,knit next 2 sts together, pass slipped st overlast st on right neede. SSK(slip,slip,knit: Slipastitch as iftonit to right-hand eede,sliasecond stitch as iftoknit,slipboth stitchesback to left-hand needle and knit together through back loops. YO: Yarnover.

1.Begin each row with slip stitch garter stitch border as follows:slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front, 2. 2. End each row with garter stitch border as follows: k3.
Little Leaf Lace Pattern
Rows 1 and 3:Purl Row 2:K1,\*ktog, yo, k3,yo, ssk, k1,repeat from \* across. Row 4:K3,\*yo,skp,yo,k5.Repeat from \* acro, ending last repeat with k3 instead of k5. Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
Instructions
Cast on 47 sts.Knit 5 rows (garter stitch). Row 6 (and allWS rows):K3, place marker, purl across, place marker, k3 Row 7 (and allRS rows):Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front, k2,slip marker, knit across in pattern (which will be Row 2of Little Leaf Lace Pattern), slip marker, k3. Continue working the 4-row Little Leaf Lace Pattern as established, repeating pattern 64 times (256 rows).
