BLACK SNOW HAT

This is the last hat pattern at the moment! It's similar to Basco Paris but it is wider and less “classic''. You can wear it as a basco or pulled behind as picture here above. I've used 2 strand of Adriafil Yarn and a strand of Tropical lane Paris 70 (mohair) together. The result is a very soft and warm hat! Circular needles used here US 8 and 9. Cast on 80 stitches with US 8 circular needles and work in round rib 2/2 for 2 inch placing the stitch marker at the begin of the round. Now knit 1 round. The next round using the Us 9 circular needles knit and make increases as follow: Knit 2 stitches and than make 1 (knit the stitch forward and back)...go on until you'll have 106 stitches.

Than: Knit 5 rounds Purl 3 rounds Knit 5 rounds Purl 3 rounds Knit 5 rounds Purl 3 rounds Knit 5 rounds Purl 3 rounds Knit 5 rounds Purl 3 rounds Now make the decreases as follow: separate the stitches in 6 sections with stitch markers (4 sections has 18 st, 2 sections 17 st) and while knitting decrease one stitch (knit 2 together) after every marker. When you have few stitches (6-8) cut the yarn leaving 10 cm as tail and with a yarn needle pass through the stitches and close the loop. Goodwork!
