Romantic Friendship (a cozy cowl)
Notions:
I5mm 24 inch circular needles (huge!) I ball of Cascade Eco + A small ball of secondary. third or fourth colour in a worsted weight yarn
Before you start knitting
you'll need to weight out the Cascade eco + into three balls of approx 83 grams. You'll be knitting all three strands of them together to make one big strand of yarn!
A note on the yarn
The yarn I usedis a bit unusual. I've heard it called a barber pole yarn, or a quatro yarn, but what it really is is two solid colour yarns spun together closely so that it looks like a barber pole. So if you want that look, get a ball of Cascade's Eco + in Shade 9oIO. That's what I did!
The Pattern
Cast on 84 stitches using all three strands of Eco +. Join in the round trying not to twist the yarn place marker at the beginning of the round \*kI, pI\* making sure to knit the knits and purl the purls. Work every round like this until you're almost out of yarn! If you want to add a secondary colour in, just strand it in for as long as you'd like and then stop when you'd like. I added in two colours ( mustard yellow & heathered red/brown both by Galway Worsted) Once you're almost out of yarn cast off all stitches. If it's feeling a little small once you've cast off, get it Soaking wet, ring it out gently with a towel and hang it up until dry. Mine stretched quite a bit from this. It went from going around my head twice, to going around my head three times! Magical blocking powers!
