Materials: ca. 30 gr. 6 ply Sockyarn Needle: US Abbreviations: co - cast on stitches k - knit p - purl bo - bind off Instructions: Cast on 10 stitches Row 1: k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, then co 2 stitches - 12 stitches Row 2: k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, then co 2 stitches. - 14 stitches Row 3: p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, then co 2 stitches. - 16 stitches Row 4: p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, then co 2 stitches - 18 stitches Repeat rows 1 thru 4 maintaining 2x2 ribbing pattern until you have 104 stitches on the needle, changing to circular needle to accommodate number of stitches.

Cast on 14 stitches and join. You now have 118 stitches. Next row: You now begin to work in the round. Work the 2x2 rib pattern for 52 stitches. This is the midpoint of the round: place a marker here. Continue the 2x2 rib pattern for the remaining 50 stitches. Continue the 2x2 ribbing in the round (without any further cast-ons) slipping your marker as you go. When the piece measures 4 inches from the point at which you cast on the 14 stitches, bind off 14 stitches after your midpoint marker - 104 stitches. Next row: Now work the remaining stitches back and forth in rows, binding off 2 stitches at beginning of each row and maintaining the rib pattern. Repeat until only 10 stitches remain. Knit 1 more row in rib pattern. Bind off all stitches. Weave in any ends. I hope you have fun knitting this cowl. Please let me know if you have an questions.
