Materials: 1 3.75 mm (F) hook 7-8 yds of scrap worsted weight yarn Contrasting yarn or embroidery floss Small amount of fiberfill/stuffing Stitch marker Tapestry needle Abbreviations: ch - chain slst - slip stitch sc - single crochet sc-dec - single crochet decrease rd - round The Teeny Tiny Lobster is worked in a spiral unless otherwise specified. Body: Rd 1: Make an adjustable ring, ch 1, and sc 6 into the ring, pull closed tightly, place marker and move up with each row (6) Rd 2: 2sc in each st (12) Rd 3-4: sc in each st around (12) Rd 5: (sc in next st, sc-dec) around (8) Rd 6: sc in each st around (8) Stuff Rd 7: (sc in next st, sc-dec) x2, sc in next 2 st (6) Rd 8: sc in each st around (6) Rd 9: 2 sc in each st (12) Finish stuffing if needed Tail: Flatten the open end horizontally so that the hook is positioned at one corner. Crochet through both layers as follows: Row 1: 3 sc in next st, sc in next st, slst in next 2 st, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st. Claws (make 2): The claws are worked flat and crocheted to the body. Row 1: ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, attach claw to your body by slst between the 2"d and 3rd rd of the body on the lower left or right, depending on which claw you're making (your claws should be 2-3 stitches apart from each other when finished for the best effect), turn Row 2: slst into your 3 st, do not turn Row 3: on the bottom of your claw (so that you're going around the top and creating a rounded end) sc 4 times into the same st, ch 2, turn, sc into second ch from the hook, turn, slst into each of the bottom sides of your stitches down your claw until you reach the body, slst into your body to attach Antennas (make 2): Cut a 5" piece of yarn for each antenna Thread through the top of the head between the 2"d and 3rd rd of the body Hold the yarn so that it is a horizontal line and twist each side in opposite directions, place the two ends together and let the 2 sides twist around each other Use the 2 ends to tie a firm knot where you wish the antenna to end and trim your ends Finishing: Embroider eyes Using tapestry needle, weave in any ends
