Materials needed:
1 skein King Cole Magnum Lightweight Chunky in Charcoal 187
Needles:
Gauge: 10sts / 16 rows = 4 inches (moss st)
Abbreviations:

Directions:
Cast on 39 stitches on to the circular needle. Place a stitch marker and join in the round making sure not to twist. Purl 1o rows.
Body:
Row 1: \*K1, P1, repeat from \* to end. Row 2: \*P1, K1, repeat from \* to end. Rows 1 & 2 make the moss st pattern. Continue repeating these rows for a further 24 rows or until the work measures 8 inches from cast on edge, ending with row 2.
Decreasing for the crown:
Row 1: Moss st 10st, K3tog, moss st 10st, P3tog, moss st 10st, K3tog. (33sts) Rows 2, 4, 6 & 8: Moss stto end. Row 3: Moss st 8st, K3tog, moss st 8st, P3tog, moss st 8st, K3tog. (27sts) Row 5: Moss st 6st, K3tog, moss st 6st, P3tog, moss st 6st, K3tog. (21sts) Change to 8mm DPN's. Row 7: Moss st 4st, K3tog, moss st 4st, P3tog, moss st 4st, K3tog. (15sts) Row 9: Moss st 2st, K3tog, moss st 2st, P3tog, moss st 2st, K3tog (9sts) Break yarn and draw through the remaining 9 sts. Pull tight and weave in the loose ends. Ta Da!
