Yarn Measurements Needles Notions approx. $100\,\mathfrak{g}$ $=350\ m\,/$ 383 yds) Wollmeise yarn ( $100\;\%$ merino superwash) approx. $160\times18\;\mathsf{c m}\,/\,63"\times7"$ (slightly blocked) circular needles $3,5-4\;\mathsf{m m}\,/$ US size 4 - 6 (80 cm / $32^{\circ}$ length) or whatever size is suitable for your yarn tapestry needle
Gauge
28 s $15\times36\;\mathrm{rows}=10\times10\;\mathrm{cm}\;/\;4^{\circ}\times4^{\circ}$ in stitch pattern (not blocked) Correct gauge is not essential for this project unless you are working with a limited quantity of yarn. Measurements highly depend on how strongly you block the garment, needle size and yarn you use. If you are a tight knitter, I suggest using a bigger needle size.
NOTES
ABBREViATiONS α STITCHES
Selvedge stitches are included in pattern directions. To avoid loosely worked selvedge stitches be sure to work yarn snugly at the beginning and end of a row.

[stitch pattern] $=$ Repeat the stitches between the brackets until last two stitches of row. I suggest marking the front side of the garment ( $:=$ right side) with a stitch marker or waste yarn. Front and back side of the scarf look similar. Due to the stitch pattern the scarf will "roll" a little bit. Block slightly or steam it carefully under a towel. k knit p purl k2tog knit 2 stitches together yo yarnover sl slip st(s) stitch(es) sl1-k1- slip 1 st as if to knit, knit 1 st, pass slipped stitch over knit stitch. psso sl1 wyif slip 1 stitch as if to purl with yarn in front of work p2tog purl 2 stitches together CO 3 sts Knitted cast-on: [Knit 1 (=first of row), leaving stitch on left needle. Then you will work these stitches as described after the bracket.

IV. Blocking Scarf
Soak garment in lukewarm water. Squeeze out excess moisture by rolling the piece in a towel. Stretch and pin out piece according to the shaping. Measurements are not really important; block scarf the way you prefer. Allow garment to dry completely before unpinning. Weave in ends.
