The Story:
Simply put - it's Valentine's Day and I have a beautiful skein of yarn so why not make something pretty? And, well, SOCKS!
Materials:
Candy Skein “Yummy Fingering” (fingering weight; 75% Merino Wool, 25% Nylon Superwash; 465 yds/100g skein): 1 skein ^Candy Apple Crush’ colorway 1 - US 1 (2.25mm) 32" circular needle OR DPNs. Adjust needle size as necessary to match gauge 2 - Stitch markers (3 if using DPNs) Tapestry needle
Finished Sizes:
Small (Medium and Large): 7%4 (814 and 9%) inches circumference Recommended fit: 1-inch of negative ease
Gauge:
35 sts and 47 rows = 4” in stockinette
Notes:
These socks are worked one at a time, from the top down using the Magic Loop method and a modified Eye of Partridge gusset heel. Written and charted instructions are provided. The chart only indicates the sts on the Front/Instep of the sock. All Back/Sole sts will be worked in stockinette. These socks are identical to one another; knit two to make a pair. In case of using DPNs, assume that the Front needle is synonymous with Needles 1 & 2, and that the Back needle is synonymous with Needles 3 & 4. Slip all sts purlwise unless otherwise noted.
Cuff
Cast on 64 (72, 80) sts loosely using your preferred method. Divide the sts evenly; place the first 32 (36, 40) sts on the Front needle - these will be the Front/Instep sts. The last 32 (36, 40) sts will be the Back/Sole sts and will be worked on the Back needle. IfusingDPNs.ioinforworkingintheround and placeamarker toindicatethebegofthernd. Work in [kl, pl] rib for 1/2 inches.

Beginning on Rnd 1 of the “Romantical' pattern, knit in pattern across the first 16 (18, 20) sts of the Front needle. This is now Needle 1.
