K. Repolainen is slouchy hat knitted with worsted weight yarn so it is quite quick to make. It has a strand with patterns that imitate fox heads. Sizes: S/M/L (48cm / 52,5cm / 57cm) Note: Hat in the picture is size S
Uou'll need:
Worsted weight yarn, approximately 70 grams of main colour (MC) and 20 grams of contrasting colour (CC). Needed amount is dependable of the size of the hat. 4.5 mm (short cable needle) 5.0 mm (short cable needle) 5mm (double pointed needle, DPN) Measure tape, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Pattern:
Gauge: 24 sts / 25 rows per 10 cm over stranded pattern. Notes: If the gauge is not obtained on given needle, adjust the needles to gain the gauge needed.
cAbbreviations:
K = knit K2tog = knit 2 stitches together SSK = slip, slip and knit those together Ktbl = Knit through the back loop Kf&b = knit into the front and back of stitch MC = main colour (purple) CC = contrasting colour (red) CO = cast on Brim: CO 104/112/124 stitches on 4.5 mm needles. Cut the CC yarn. Knit with MC as long as the height is 16/16/17 cm from the CO edge. Begin hat decreases as follows: Even rows (2, 4, 6 etc.) are knitted. Every decrease row 10 stiches are decreased. Start decreasing from the row 5/3/1. Decreasing rows: Row 1: \*k11, k2tog, ssk, k11\* to end of row. Row 3: \*k10, k2tog, ssk, k10\* to end of row. Row 5: \*k 9, k2tog, ssk, k9\* to end of row. Row 7: \*k8, k2tog, ssk, k8\* to end of row. Row 9: \*k7, k2tog, ssk, k7\* to end of row. Row 11: \*k6, k2tog, ssk, k6\* to end of row. Row 13: \*k5, k2tog, ssk, k5\* to end of row.
