Sunbonnet Sue This is just a simple graph, use sc when following the graph. I suggest an H hook with worsted weight yarn but yarn size and hook size are not important, the larger the hook and yarn, the larger the block, the smaller the hook and yarn the smaller the block. I also think it would be interesting to see this worked up with each square being a different color block and then assembled into a large afghan. Note: This was designed as a perfect square but if you crochet like I do, it will not end up as a square, you will need to add 2 extra rows of single crochet to both the top and bottom.
