Cowl of Skaro by Jessie McKitrick
(Tweedlebug's Garden: grammargrouse.blogspot.com/) The Cowl of Skaro is named for its Dalek-like appearance, though it was originally made for my daughter, who really just likes bobbles a lot. The cowl is knit in the round. Sizing: Small (Medium)(Large). Circumference: 16"/40cm (18"/46cm)(19"/48.5cm). The cowl is fairly stretchy (the medium stretches to a circumference of 30"/76.5cm), s0 unless a loose fit is desired, instead of knitting size large, simply add more repeats as needed.

Yarn: Loops and Threads Cozy Wool, Super Bulky. (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic; 90 yards/82m , 4.5oz/127 gram ball), Velvet: 1(1)(2) ball(s). Needles: 6mm Circular needles. Notions: A tapestry needle to weave-in ends. Gauge: 16sts and 18 rows/4 inches in p2,k1,p2,k2 rib M1Bobble: In same stitch, k1, k1 through back, k1, then turn. K3, turn. P3, turn. K3, turn. Slip 1, Knit 2 together, Pass slipped stitch over.
Cowl
Cast on 63(77)(84). Without twisting, join in the round. Rounds 1 and 2: \*P2, K1, P2, K2\*, repeat to end. Round 3: \*P2, M1Bobble, P2, K2\*, repeat to end. Round 4: \*P2, K1, P2, K2\*, repeat to end. Repeat rounds 1-4 three(four)(six) more times, or until cowl is as tall as desired. Following round: \*P2, K1, P2, K2\*, repeat to end.
