Materials: 1 ball Pom Rox shown in color 501 Size: Adult/ Large Child (Small Child) Hook:Size J Hook Gauge: 3 dc = one inch Chain 4, join with sl st in 1s ch to form a ring. Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1" dc), do 11 dc in ring. Join with st st in top of chain 3. (12 dc) Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same space as ch 3; 2 dc in each of the next 11 dc. Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (24 dc) Row 3: Ch 3, fpdc around ch 3 of previous row, fpdc around next dc; \* dc in next dc, fpdc around same dc; fpdc around next dc. Repeat from \* to end; Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (36 st) Row 4: Ch 3, dc in same st, fpdc around next 2 fpdc; \* 2 dc in next st, fpdc around next 2 fpdc. Repeat from \* around to end; Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (48 st) For Adult/ Lg Child continue with Row 5; For small child, see Note below. Row 5: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc in next st, fpdc around next 2 fpdc; \* 2 dc in next st, dc in next st, fpdc around next 2 fpdc. Repeat from \* around to end; Join with sl st in top of ch 3. (60 st) Row 6: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, fpdc around next 2 fpdc; \* dc in next 3 dc's, fpdc around next 2 fpdc. Repeat from \* around to end; join with sl st in top of ch 3. (60 st) Rows 7 - 18: Repeat Row 6. Fasten off. Weave in all ends. Note : For small child, continue from here. Row 5: Ch 3, dc in next st, fpdc around next 2 fpdc; \* dc in next 2 dc, fpdc around next 2 fpdc. Repeat from \* around to end; join with sl st in top of ch 3. (48 st) Rows 6-? Repeat Row 5 until hat is length desired. Fasten off. Weave in all ends. Attach Pompom to top of hat.
