Kitty Hawk Cowl By The Plum Hook
Materials:
1 skein/5 oz./250 yards of worsted weight yarn (l used Lion Brand Heartland) 6.5 (K) mm hook YarnNeedle Scissors
Stitches Used:
ch- chain hdc- half double crochet sC- single crochet dc- double crochet slst- slip stitch shell- (sc, hdc, dc in same stitch) \*all terms are in US terminology\* \*\*Special Note\*\* this scarf can be made longer or shorter by adding/subtracting from the initial chain. Make sure you calculate a multiple of 3 +1 stitch. For example, if you wanted to make this shorter you could make this 75+1= 76 chains

Instructions:
Chain 10o, slst to join (make sure not to twist chain) Row 1: Ch 1, hdc in same space, hdc in each chain around. Slst join into 1st hdc (100 st) Row 2: Ch1, turn, shell in 1st hdc (sc, hdc, dc, in same st), \*skip 2 st, shell\* repeat from \* across (33 shells). After last shell there will be 3 st, so skip 2 st and sc in last st Slst into sc of first shellto join. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, shell into last sc from previous row. Shell into next 32 sc. Sc into last sc of the row. Slst into first sc of first shell to join \*note: at this point you should be seeing the shells in reverse of how you crocheted them. Instead of (sc, hdc, dc) you should be seeing (dc, hdc, sc). You will be skipping the dc and hdc and crocheting your new shell into the sc. Row 4-21: repeat Row 3 Row 22: Ch 1, turn, hdc in each st around, Slst to join. Fasten off and weave in ends. All products of this pattern may be sold but please credit me in any online sales.
