Embrasse-Moi: A Romantic Knitting Pattern Inspired by Charles Aznavour

EMBRASSE-MOI

by Francesca Caricato The name of this long wrap is an homage to the great Charles Aznavour (http: / /www.youtube.com/watch?v=fojdvzVN7w4) andhis touching songs ... there, wrapping in this warm embrace made me feel just that romantic!

Yarn: 2 balls of Kauni 8/2 Effect (300g x 1200m). Needles: 4.5 mm (Us 7) Gauge: tension is not decisive, since needles are oversized compared to yarn thickness. Leyeiud: K:knit P:purl YO: yarn over (put the thread as if you were to purl, let it pass on the right neeedle, ready to knit the next stitch) 2Ktog: knit 2 stitches together. 2KtogB: knit 2 together from the back.

Cast on 104 stitches

You get the pattern by repeating the following two lines: Row 1: K2, [P7, Kl, P7, K2]x6 (wrong side) Row 2:P2,【(K1,YO)x2, K1,(2KtogB)x2, P1,(2Ktog)x2,(K1,YO)x2,K1, P2]x6 Like any lace pattern, at first it looks complex and error prone; yet after a few repetitions you can memorize it and be able to run it without any particular concentration. Repeat the two rows until the end of the yarn, casting off with large stitches. Atätheäend, you can block it:moisten and letitädry well stretched and locked with pins, otherwise gently iron it, being careful not to flatten it - even in vertical position. Happy knitting!
