These little holly leaves are suitable for adorning gifts, tags or simply as decorations. Suitable for a crocheter with a little experience. The finished size is approximately 21/2" long by 11/4" wide. diameter.

Small quantity of 4 ply yarn, I used Jamiesons Shetland Spindrift colour 234 Pine 3mm crochet hook 3 red beads Matching thread Sewing needle Tapestry needle

Not important for this design.

Note - these are all English crochet terms ch = chain stitch sS = slip stitch dc = double crochet htr = half treble stitch tr = treble stitch
Instructions
Make a 14 ch foundation ch Ss into 2nd ch from hook, ss into next 2 sts The short stem has now been formed. To form the first side of the leave continue working in the foundation ch as follows: 1dc, 1htr, 1tr, 2ch, ss in 2nd st from hook, 1tr, 2htr, 1tr, 2ch, ss in 2"d st from hook, 1tr, 1htr, 1dc, 2ch ss in 2nd st from hook. Turn and work down other side of foundation ch to make the second side of the leaf as follows: 1dc, 1 htr, 1tr, 2ch, ss in 2nd st from hook, 1tr, 2htr, 1tr, 2ch, ss in 2nd st from hook, 1tr, 1htr,1dc, ss into stem and fasten off.

Sew in loose ends Sew 3 beads at joint of leaf and stem. Enjoy!
