KNIT GEAR! Knit your own Top Gear presenters! Just what you always wanted! $12^{\bullet}$ of Jeremy Clarkson, $10^{\circ}$ of James May, $10^{\circ}$ of The Stig and a pocket sized $9^{\circ}$ of Richard Hammond. If you need a lifesize version, multiply the patter... These patterns are aimed at beginners. All the figures are knitted in stocking stitch. There is some shaping, increasing and decreasing of stitches. The hair and face are embroidered on afterwards. Knit!James
Knitted James has slightly flared trousers and increased shaping on the torso to add his lovely cuddly beer belly. I've chosen to represent James' red and orange striped jumper here as I personally think he looks so delicious in it. James has such a great collction of yummy knitwear so you can adapt the pattern by substituting colours to any of your favourite James woolies, or even atempt to replicate one of his flamboyant shirts. James Hair
Using two strands of Brown, sew a stitch, leaving approx 3/4 of an inch end, sew over the stitch again and cut the thread leaving another end. Repeat all over the head, switching to Grey yarn to do four ends of grey tufty hair infront of his ears. Fray all the ends of the yarn to make the hair stick out in all directions and ensure that some of it flops sexily over James' gorgeous face.
Knit!Stig
Some say he's stuffed with Kapok and that he prefers crochet. All we know is that knitted Stig has a simple to knit body with a big curved helmet.
